Ashiq Abu brings on to the screen the Virus outbreak of ‘Nipah’ in a very balanced and realistic way. Zacharia a youth and the nurse Akhila who took care of him was diagnosed with ‘Nipah virus’ and is the real-life adaptation of nurse Lini, who is still a pain in the heart. Other than Zacharia more cases were swiftly reported and the death toll kept on increasing.
Once the medical experts get to know that the virus is spreading quickly across districts, it becomes an emergency situation. The experts, healthcare professionals, and the Health Minister C K Prameela along with District Collector Paul V Abraham, make up a formidable team and camps at Calicut.
The movie slowly takes us on how and what the events at Kozhikode and Malappuram took place which we knew only through news and is partially a tribute paid to the team of different members in different segments of the society and medical experts.
The movie has the spectacular cast of Parvathy, Sreenath Basi, Rahman, Indrajith and Unni Maya as medical professionals, Tovino as Collector, Poornima as health service director. Asif Ali, Soubin, Dharshana and Madonna Sebastian depicts the role of patients affected during the opening of the movie.
