Biography, Education

Born in Kochi, he studied at TOC-H Public School in Vytilla. His higher secondary schooling was at Sishya School as the family shifted to Chennai. Later he graduated from Purdue University with a Degree in Business Management. After studies, he did IT-based business but joined Barry John acting school and did a crash course.

He has been active in the movie industry, mostly in Malayalam from 2012 and has 25 completed releases. His acting skills have earned him the Kerala State Best Actor Award and Filmfare Award.

Career

Actor Dulquer Salmaan’s debut movie was Second Show which released in 2012. He made an impressive performance in the movie Ustad Hotel in the role of Faizy and was praised by major stars in the industry. Later he acted in ABCD, 5 Sundarikal, Neelakasham Pachakadal, Chuvanna Bhoomi, Pattam Pole during his first phase.

He rose to stardom with Bangalore Day, Vikramadithyan, 100 Days of Love etc. Charlie became the biggest blockbuster of his career breaking collection records. His Tamil debut was through Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and later in O Kadhal Kanmani. He made his Telugu debut with Mahanati and was dubbed into the Tamil language.
