Plus Points
The challenging role of father and mother is perfectly played by Priyanka and Farhan. Their acting will make us feel its perfectly balanced and not an emotional override. The love life of both is well shown and makes the audience fall in love with them instantly. The on-screen chemistry, dialogues and emotional scenes by all the actors are the biggest positives. Zaira brings life in every scene and makes us fall in love with her role.
Minus Points
The story looks good on paper but a bit better execution would have taken it to another level. The screenplay is a bit out of focus at times and as an audience, we would love if it has been perfected. The movie lacked depth at a few places but got starched a bit in a few other scenes.
The Sky is Pink Movie Technical Aspects
The camerawork by Kartik Vijay and Nick Cooke is impressive. Every frame of the movie gets us in love with the film. Music by Pritam has already become a hit and background scores have been lovely. Manas Mittal does a decent job as the editor of the film.
The writer-director Shonali Bose has put her heart and soul in the movie. Emotional and love scenes are well created and placed with the perfect emotional backing.
Verdict
As a whole ‘The Sky is Pink‘ is an emotional treat to watch. The Mary Kom and Milkha Singh in reel life have done a great work. The family movie which points to a real life situation which can happen to anyone is relatable. A light hearted watch for every kind of audience who doesn’t mind an emotional treat.
