She is an actress and model working in the Bengali movie industry.She debuted in Mayar Badhon and also appeared in few telefilms for ETV Bangla. Her noteworthy role was in the superhit movie Champion.
After a long break of 5 years she came back in 2008 with the movie Bhalobasha Bhalobasha and that opened her active actress status with regular movies.
She had married the film director Rajib Biswas in 2003 and has a boy, Abhimanyu Chatterjee. After some years, there was troubles in the marriage and ended up in a divorce. She is planning for an entry to Bollywood in 2019.
