She acted in Malayalam movies like Goodbye December and Lalbagh. Her Tamil movie debut is Graghanam which is in post-production. Nandini Rai’s upcoming Telugu movie is Metro Kathalu which will release on 14 August 2020 exclusively on Aha Video.

Controversy
Nandini Rai had opened up about the casting couch and how it affected her. It triggered Sri Reddy, who earlier opened up against Telugu producers who forced her to compromise. Sri Reddy blasted Nandini and shared what actually happens in the casting couch by force and not wilfully.
