Raghuvir is an entrepreneur and his trip to China is expected to change his luck and fulfil all his business goals. Made in China carries the message of normalizing conversations about sex and exposing the taboo and hypocrisy surrounding it. The movie has Rajkumar Rao, Mouni Roy, Boman Irani etc in the lead.
Story :
Raghuvir Mehta is an entrepreneur and he keeps on trying a new business but fails miserably. With the expectation to change his luck, he plans to visit China. He travels throughout China in search of luck but the city had some other plans for him. A Chinese general is found dead after having ‘Magic Soup’ and Raghuvir is trapped within it. Raghuvir was part of the soup company and he is also cornered as guilty. Will he be able to prove himself innocent and help the team in finding the real culprits? To know in detail, you must watch the movie.
Plus Points :
From the first scene itself, made in China gives us a feel of a mysterious thriller. His combination scenes with Boman Irani is a treat to watch. Paresh Rawal does an amazing job as Tanmay Shah and Sumeet Vyas as Dhanraj. Rukmini is the role played by Mouni Roy and the couple looks amazing on-screen. Few twists, flashback and on-screen performance of all the actors are the positives of the film.
Minus Points :
The storyline of the movie is the major negative. The narrative portions and flashback portions are so lengthy that, we lose to total connection with the previous scenes. The lack of ample jokes and humour add to the pullback of the movie-watching experience. The first half seems a bit dull due to the approach of narration and slowly get a bit better in the second half.
Technical Aspects:
The camera work by Anuj was promising and he almost managed to get the thrills and beauty captured throughout. The art direction and properties used are perfectly used and it comes to view in the second half. Music was good but isn’t of high standards, but background scores in the movie are appreciable. Funny jokes which are very few but still enjoyable. On paper, the story looks good with the sills of Mikhil, Karan and Niresh.
The 2 hours plus run-time would have been better if Editor Manan could have worked a bit better. Mikhil Musale being the co-writer is also the director of the movie. He has succeeded in getting pace and thrills towards the second half of the movie. The romance of the pair and few powerful scenes deserve appreciation.
Verdict :
As a whole ‘Made in China’ is surely a thriller with few fun-filled moments. Watch the movie without much thought impact about the story. Rajkumar Rao and Mouni looks awesome together and will stay in your heart for some time. The performance of the major stars is the biggest reason that you will enjoy the movie and a different type of story is being presented. Surely the movie is a one time watch when you watch without expectations
