Biography & Educational Qualifications
Born in Chennai and did his schooling from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan. His higher secondary education was from St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School. Later he graduated from Cresent Engineering College, Chennai in Mechanical Engineering. After working for a few months he shifted to Binghamton University and completed MSC Industrial Engineering.
Later he became a graphic designer and wanted to join film making and later studied it from the State University of New York. The entry into Paruthiveeran made the total career change in his life. He is one of the leading charity providers along with his brother Suriya through various foundations and trusts.

His major break was in Paruthiveeran movie along with Priyamani where he won Best Actor Awards. Since 2011 he became a regular lead actor in Tamil with Siruthai, Alex Pandian, Biriyani, Saguni etc. His role of Kaali in Madras movie bagged multiple Best Actor awards.
