Lakshya, as introduced by Karan Johar today as the perfect star for the Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor movie Dostana 2, is Laksh Lalwani. He has been part of the acting fraternity since some time and has been into historical serials like Porus. Lakshya aka Laksh went through tedious and hard selection procedures and finally got selected as a lead actor.

Dostana 2 which has been in the talks for a long time has finally given an update. Director Karan Johar announced the new face alongside Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in the sequel of Dostana. It was a well-accepted movie and had Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in the lead. To be very precise, Lakshya is not a totally fresh face as he had been part of Television series including Porus and Naagin. Lakshya has been in the news earlier due to his great makeover and changed his look completely.

Karan Johar announced officially on Instagram about the third main star to be part of Dostana 2. He captioned it as “Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome @itslakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings…”

Lakshya was also seen in TV shows like Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari and Porus. Makers had earlier informed that the shoot for the movie will start soon and as the main cast has been announced, the film is set to be rolling from Diwali 2019. Sources close to the movie has hinted that the makers are eyeing the release during Summer 2020.
