Sanju Movie : One man, many lives has hit the theatre screens and has shown an absolute version of various events held in the life of SanjayDutt. The movie starts off with Sanjay Dutt (essayed by Ranbir Kapoor) searching fo a writer got get his biography written, even when he was ready to surrendered himself to the Supreme Court for the trial of the case under the Arms Act. Sanju thus reaches to Winnie (essayed by Anyshka Sharma)and his confessions put light on the ups and downs of his life.
The humor was again the additional touch we see in most of Rajkumar Hirani films, and the movie dosen’t reveal much about Sanju’s relationships but more of the lovely bond between a father son and a best friend. Sanjay’s relationship with his father Sunil Dutt (Paresh Rawal) forms the crux of the story. The role of Nargis Dutt, Sanju’s mother enacted by Manisha Koirala was splendid even though it was very short. Sanju’s best friend Kamlesh (enacted by Vicky Kaushal) and has a very important role in his life. Maanyata wife of Sanju (Dia Mirza) makes her presence strongly felt throughout the film.
The first half is pretty gripping and the second half elaborates on his court cases and the stresses on the fact that he isn’t a terrorist. Ranbir Kappor as Sanju seems like the perfect person and sometimes even make us felt that actually Sanjay Dutt is acting. Ranbir enacts various emotions and has grey shades grey shades within the character. He’s the heart and soul of this film.
Vicky Kaushal is impressive with the dramatic character and makes his presence felt as much as Ranbir. The Drug addicted phase of Sanju’s life is the most impressive and has the trending songs and music composed by AR Rahman. Music and cinematography deserves a special applause which matched the situations. Raj Kumar Hirani has been able to put his personal bond with Sanjay Dutt apart and has delivered an engaging story and sequences. This will be the re-birth of Ranbir Kapoor who had gone down with a few less performing films. Film is worth watching for the fabulous acts and to know the unknown things in Sanjay Dutt’s life.
