Paravthy was introduced to the film industry in 2006 through the Malayalam movie Out of Syllabus directed by Viswanathan. She got great attention from the audience through her second movie directed by Rosshan Andrrews named Notebook in the same year.
2007 Milana was her Kannada debut and Poo in 2008 was her Tamil debut. In 2017 she made her Hindi debut through Qarib Qarib Singlle co-written and directed by Tanuja Chandra.
Banglore Days was her come-back movie in Malayalam and was followed by many hits like Take Off, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Uyare, Virus, and so on. Upcoming movie of Parvathy Thiruvothu is Tamil movie Thangalaan directed by Pa Ranjith. It is expected to be released in April 2023. The other Malayalam movie is Ullozhukku directed by Christo Tomy in which she is acting together with Urvashi.
