Indrajith Sukumaran is an Indian film actor and singer. He has acted in all major South Indian languages and also in Hindi and English films. His career has more than 90 released movies and is now also part of web series.

Biography and Educational Qualifications

Born in Thiruvananthapuram, he shifted with parents to Tamil Nadu. He studied at Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School, Chennai. Later he shifted to NSS Public School Perunthanni and then to St.Mary’s Residential Central School, Poojappura. His studies were completed at Sainik School, Kazhakoottam.

He graduated in Computer Science Engineering from Rajaas Engineering College. After his studies, he worked for a few years in a software firm. His interest in movies pushed him back to movies. It took many years for him to get success in Malayalam movie industry. Meanwhile, he became a popular star in other South Indian movies.

He was born to a movie based family in Kerala. His father is Sukumaran and mother is Mallika Sukumaran. Indrajith married Poornima Indrajith in 2004. His daughters are Prarthana Indrajith and Nakshatra Indrajith. Prithviraj Sukumaran is his younger brother.

His acting debut was Padayani which released in 1986. He played major roles as a villain in Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan, Meesa Madhavan etc. Runway, Vesham, Police, Classmates, Baba Kalyani were the major hits during initial career. Later he acted in Minnaminnikoottam, Twenty Twenty, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Three Kings, Bachelor Party etc.

Left Right Left, Husbands in Goa, Kohinoor, Amar Akbar Anthony, Vettah, Tiyaan etc are the biggest hits in his career. Malayalam movies of Indrajith Sukumaran are Kurup, Ithihasa 2, Thuramukham, Ram, Halal Love Story, Kunjamminies Hospital etc.

He made Tamil debut with En Mana Vaanil in 2002. Later he acted in Sarvam and Naragasooran which is set to release by end of 2020. Kavya’s Diary was his Telugu movie debut in 2009. The Waiting Room was his Hindi debut film which released in 2010. Before the Rains was the English debut of the actor which released in 2008.

Indrajith made OTT debut with Queen Tamil web series. It was released in 2019 on MX Player. He played the role of MGR with Anikha Surendran and Anjana Jayaprakash.
