ACP Sanjay Kumar goes under scrutiny as his team members who operated an encounter. Media and politicians came out titling it as ‘Fake encounter’, Can the team prove it otherwise?
On 13th September 2008, serial bomb blasts devastated Delhi, killing 26 people and injuring over 100 people. Right after a week, there are multiple gunshots heard at Jamia Nagar and known ‘Operation Batla House’. It was Delhi Police Special Cell’s shoot out against the terrorist suspects, who stayed at the infamous Batla House. This shoot-out is the most controversial chapter of the Delhi Police which leads to multiple deaths, arrests etc. The operation was spearheaded by then ACP and currently the DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
Batla House when turning into the movie has dramatized and has added a good amount of fiction into it. Sanjay Kumar (John Abraham), Nikkhil Advani’s ‘Batla House’ balances the storytelling without being harsh on any side. The movie has the patriotism dose in good amount and honest ACP at its pivotal point. Batla House ensures to be a thriller throughout and has few edge of the seat moments.
Where Batla House drags a bit during the second half as it turns into courtroom scenes. Nora Fatehi’s dance number seems pushed to create a change yet ‘O Saki Saki’ is worth the applause. The movie is the perfect comeback for John Abraham and Mrunakl Thakur does well as his wife and issues in their relationship. Batla house totally takes up the intensity of John Abraham in every aspect.
