The movie is inspired by the genius mathematician Anand Kumar, who has been teaching his ‘Super 30‘ kids every year for IIT admissions. The movie goes off on the inspiring fictional journey of his struggles and that’s why the movie becomes very much close to the skin. Anand (Hrithik Roshan) who has always bubbled around with controversies literally would his dreams and movie stood away from real-life issues and focused on the glory and achievements.
Being the kid of a postman and financial issues he has to forsake the lifetime chance to study at Cambridge University due to his brilliance in mathematics. After some time he is discovered by Lallanji (Aditya Srivastava) to be the maths teacher at his premium coaching center. His real call of life came soon when he realized, teaching brilliant yet underprivileged students will be the greatest of satisfaction.
‘Super 30’ lays spotlight on the fact that education is important but higher education is not always accessible to financially less affluent kids. He inspires the kids to believe and shares the power of wisdom which turns to be much emotional in a few scenes.
The second half turns a bit slow as there has been a bit of exaggeration in few scenes and unwanted bgm to join the list. Emotional scenes in the movie are really touching and heartwarming. Hrithik pulls off the role brilliantly and effortlessly making the role more convincing.
Mrunal Thakur does a good job in very small screen space. Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Srivastava handle the grey shaded roles brilliantly. The narrative draws the movie a bit behind as the challenges of a teacher and is inspiring on how he overcomes it and spreads light to others. Super 30 is surely a one time watch because of its real-life story and the brilliant acting from Hrithik Roshan.
