Indrans is a South Indian actor and singer. He is popular as a Malayalam movie actor in comedy and character roles. His real name is Surendran Kochuvelu. He has acted in a long set of movies from 1981. Later he acted in character roles in Malayalam and Tamil movies too.

Born in Kumarapuram, he became a costume designer. He studied at Government Higher Secondary School. His dreams of becoming an actor started in his college days. He completed his graduation and became a costume designer. His roles in Malayalam movies became a huge hit.
